The Spectrum+ Condoms project is a packaging solution working to lessen the spread of HIV/AIDs. The project goal was to repackage condoms in a way that will emphasize their importance in STI prevention (in lieu of their more popular contraceptive usage) while keeping a specific demographic in mind. My partner and I decided to focus on the gay and bisexual male demographic, viewing this as a gap in the marketplace in such a heteronormative society, especially in the marketing of condoms. The name "Spectrum" comes from our brand's aim to fill this gap in the spectrum of sexuality, while creating a condom brand that is appealing to everyone.
