Wheel 2 Wheel is primarily a service design project, furthered into a brand identity and marketing strategy proposal. The assignment was to redesign the wheelchair experience for improvement. After interviewing our primary research consultant, Peyton, a local wheelchair-bound student, I learned that the biggest problem he found was getting maintenance done on his chair. Appointments were often expensive and had to be scheduled weeks in advance due to a lack of professionals in the area. After researching, I learned that many of the minor mechanical repairs were very similar to that of Bicycle repairs, of which there are much more of a dense population.
Wheel 2 Wheel is a one-stop shop for cheap and quick mechanical fixes for both bicycles and wheelchairs. The repair shop would employ repairmen that specialize in bicycles, but with some additional training would be able to make the frequent but minor repairs on wheelchairs. Additionally W2W offers a cafe for users to lounge and get work done while waiting for repairs to be made.
